CIN-SOTA | A brief introduction

Cin-SOTA was born to visualize the capability of the current and new AI techniques on a leaderboard, a friendly and interactive webpage interface, from which engages not only 80 AI members but also the rest of the company who want to share the same view with technical engineers. Cin-SOTA connects the AI framework with a library of standardized data. It lessens AI effort in starting building models from scratch and prepares appropriate data themselves.

The inner-innovation from members are gathered, embraced, and leveraged through an internal competition. Cin-SOTA hosts a playground, prepares the challenges with a direct objective to solve the current technical issues that Cinners are facing, and gets our internal participants ready to build and develop their ideas accordingly. Participants are encouraged to work individually on easy challenges and work as a team on long-term ones, so we ensure the big win together.

There are more than 219 members from different sites, who create so many new, critical ideas to deal with the challenges. Sad but true, sometimes it is hard to keep the consistency in the development objective with those things.

2 challenges were successfully conducted in approximately 6 months with humble results. We place our ideas of an AI model automatically detecting all the types of text or the vertical text-line regardless of labels in the hypothesis and expect to turn it around from question to clear math with a solution.

The 3rd challenge relating to K-V is coming. Through each of the challenge, we interviewed the winner, encouraged them to share about “how you made it?” to the rest of the company, and made it into a technical blog for later uses. Mentioning a bit about the winner, they not only are recognized and rewarded but also receive a thank you letter and appreciation from the top management team on our general channel. We want to be sure that all innovation has a chance to breakthrough.
